Obituary of John P. Cellini
John "Sonny" Cellini entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 9, 2015. John was born in Bridgeport on April 27, 1929 and lived in Trumbull with his wife Antoinette for 60 years. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Elizabeth and John and by his brothers, Daniel and Michael, his sisters, Lena Giaquinto and Vilma Hill. He is survived by his sons, Gene and his wife Lisa of Trumbull and Daniel of Easton, his five loving grandchildren, Matthew Cellini, M.D. Capt. USAF of San Antonio, TX, Gene Jr. and Alyssa of Trumbull and Brianna and Daniel Jr. of Easton. Sonny also leaves behind a sister, Mary Montabana of Bridgeport as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sonny was a member of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired co-owner of Tec-Cel Construction Company and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and East End Yacht Club.
A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull, CT 06611. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, 1463 Highland Avenue, Cheshire, CT 06410 or a charity of one's choice. Sonny's family would like to thank the DaVita, Black Rock Dialysis staff for all the compassion and care shown to him.
