A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.

Obituary of Patricia A. Alarcon

Patricia A. Didio Alarcon, age 76, beloved wife of Joseph D. Alarcon of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on March 6, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose Mammone Didio. Patricia graduated from Bullard Havens Technical High School in their dress making program. Before her retirement, alongside her husband, she worked as the bookkeeper at Alarcon Tire for over 20 years. She was a member of the Mill River Country Club. She was a musician and played the organ, and enjoyed knitting, reading and cryptogram puzzles. Above all, her most favorite thing to do was planning parties and family gatherings. Christmas Eve family parties were a memorable time of year for all, she took joy in preparing each theme party starting with a custom designed invitation along with a complete home theme decoration and plenty of food and prizes. A tradition that was carried on for many years. She loved it and so did all of her family and friends. Pat was passionate about her family and was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her husband Joe of 56 years, survivors include a son, Joseph G. Alarcon and his wife Elena of Shelton, a daughter, Gina Allen and her husband Ben Meister of Trumbull, grandchildren, Amanda M. Alarcon, Joseph M. Alarcon, William C. Allen and Samuel T. Allen, great grandchildren, Jaidyn Gutierrez and Joseph D. Alarcon, a brother, Nick DiDio and his wife Anita of Trumbull, a nephew, John DiDio and his wife Lori of Trumbull, a niece, Nicole Ranocchia and her husband Mike of Stratford, great nieces and nephews, Talia Rose Rannochia and Alyssa Marie Ranocchia, Nicholas John DiDio and Santino Frank DiDio.
