Obituary of Lucy Mingolello

Lucy Mingolello, age 90, of Bridgeport, passed on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Mingolello. Born in Bridgeport on February 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Orlando and Elvira Ronchini Casagrande. She always looked forward to making her homemade macaroni and gravy for the family's 4th of July picnics. She was an avid fan of the UCONN Girls Basketball team. She had a deep love for her family, friends, neighbors and caregivers. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Diminico and her husband Tony. She cherished her granddaughter, Casey Ragan and husband Ryan and her two great grandchildren, Riley and Jake. She will also be missed by the family dog, Brady. She always enjoyed her visits with nephews, nieces and their children, Lupinacci family, Casagrande family, Alfano family, Mingolello family, McCourt family and D'Andrea family. She had a loving sister-in-law, Ruth Casagrande and will miss her adventures and visits with her best friend Arline Casey. Lucy was predeceased by her brothers Rudolph, Orlando and Marino. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick's Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Where Angels Play Foundation, 158 Bucknell Ave., Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
