Obituary of Lillian LeDonne

Lillian DeVellis LeDonne, age 86, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Alfred R. LeDonne, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. Born in Bridgeport on March 4, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Virginio and Antoinette Maruzzo DeVellis. After her marriage, she moved to Trumbull where she lived for 57 years. She loved to read and bake and was an avid UCONN Girls basketball and New York Giants Fan. She loved her neighbors with whom she would go to lunch every month for many years and also shared a close relationship with her friend and neighbor Karen White who was by her side to the very end. Survivors include her beloved children, Rick LeDonne of Beacon Falls and Lori Able and her husband Mark of Louisiana, her grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Ashley and Jared Able and Tyler Brown. She is also survived by nieces, Cindy Harmon, Linda Kochan and Susan LeDonne and nephew, Frank LeDonne. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by her beloved sister Gloria Kochan and her husband Louis. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 (TODAY) at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
