Obituary of John-Anthony C. Compton

John-Anthony Charles Compton, age 29, of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Springfield, Missouri on August 3, 1985, he was the son of Charles E. and Virdene D. (Giannattasio) Compton of Bridgeport. John-Anthony was a real estate agent for over ten years. He was a member and officer of the First Assembly Church of God in Bridgeport, a Ranger Leader of the Christian Service Brigade at the Black Rock Congregational Church, a member of the National and Connecticut Association of Realtors and on the Board of Directors at the Knob Hill Condo Association. In addition to his parents, he leaves Crystal Zayas Compton and their son, Jacob Anthony Compton of Bridgeport, a sister, Alysha Compton, a niece, Kara Faith Compton-DeLeon both of Trumbull, his maternal grandparents, Rev. John and Loretta Giannattasio of Bridgeport, his paternal grandmother, Betty Clark of TN as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was pre-deceased by paternal grandfather, Rufus Compton. Friends can greet the family on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. John Giannattasio officiating in the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an education fund to benefit his son, Jacob Anthony Compton, payable to, First Assembly of God Inc.- Jacob Anthony Compton Educational Fund, P.O.
