Obituary of Patrick E. Capasso

Patrick E. Capasso, age 91, of Parkland, FL and formerly of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Kapusansky Capasso. Born in Bridgeport on March 15, 1923, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Sanita Felicella Capasso. Patrick was proud to have been President of his class at Central High School in 1940 before serving in the US Navy during World War II. Mr. Capasso was employed by CT Distributors of Stratford, where he worked as a salesman with many years of dedicated service before his retirement in 1987. He was an avid golfer and his love for reading and dancing occupied much of his free time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his children, Alan J. Capasso and his wife Maria of Shelton, Robert J. Capasso and his wife Bev of Parkland, FL, and John P. Capasso and his wife Barbara of Falmouth, ME, six cherished grandchildren, Christina Jamerson and her husband Jason of Shelton, Jeffrey Capasso of Arlington, VA, Robert Capasso of New York City, NY, Thomas Capasso, MD of Miami, FL, Dana Capasso of Ivoryton and Jay Capasso of Falmouth, ME, his three sisters, Madlyn Karpinski and her husband Eugene of Southport, Virginia Cellini of Trumbull and Celia Catullo of Shelton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife of over 30 years, Helen, he was also predeceased by his sister, Palma Iodice and brothers, Anthony, John and Ralph Capasso. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
