Obituary of Anthony J. Cavaliere

Anthony J. Cavaliere, age 88, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Melba Bradley Cavaliere, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on April 30, 1926, he was a son of the late Louis and Camelia Colonnese Cavaliere. He was a retired Superintendent of Electrical Maintenance for the former Carpenter Technology Company. A U.S. Navy veteran, Anthony was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. A dedicated parishioner of St. Theresa's Church in Trumbull, he was one of their founding members and was dedicated to his church. But above all, Anthony was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and was dedicated to the care of his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include two loving sons, Anthony Cavaliere II and his wife Ann of Indiana and Robert Cavaliere and his wife Karen of Naugatuck, four grandchildren, John Cavaliere, Michael Cavaliere and his wife Rebecca, Dawn and Tanya Cavaliere, two cherished great grandchildren, Gabrielle and Mitchell, two brothers, Vincent Cavaliere and his wife Rusty of Trumbull, Gerald Cavaliere and Merrilee of Danbury, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Cavaliere of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Benny and Louis Cavaliere. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
