Obituary of Floyd Stuart Naylor

Dr. Floyd Stuart Naylor, age 72, of Derby and formerly of Trumbull, loving husband of Susan Wesp Naylor, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 07, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Stamford on June 26, 1942 he was a son of the late Charles and Lorena Purdy Naylor. A graduate of Mitchell College and the New York School of Chiropractic, Dr. Naylor was an area Chiropractor for many years and practiced at the Rader Chiropractic Center in Stratford. A volunteer for many years for Boy Scout Troop 65 in Trumbull, he was proud to have been a Silver Beaver Leader. An avid golfer, he was also a member of the Highland Golf Club in Shelton. But above all he was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who cared for his family and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his beloved wife of 30 years, survivors include two sons, Timothy C. Naylor of San Diego, CA and Craig K. Naylor and his wife Jennifer of Bedford, MA, a daughter, Jennifer E. Naylor of Derby, six cherished grandchildren, Trista, Timothy Jr., Nicholas, Charles, James and Henry; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Young of Sea Cliff, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Roger Naylor. Relatives and friends can greet the family at a memorial gathering celebrating his life on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Prayer services will take place on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
