Obituary of Therese Langer

Therese Heynssens Langer, age 91, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Carl Langer. Born in Belgium on September 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Andre and Suzanne Dusaussay Heynssens. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Joseph Langer and his wife Althea of Easton and Robert Langer and his wife Erica of Trumbull and three cherished grandchildren, Timothy, Zachary and Lucas. She is also survived by her brother Jean Heynssens of Criel-sur-Mer, France and many loving nieces and nephews in both the United States and France. She received her degree in Physical Therapy in Sweden and later emigrated to the United States. She was also employed by Safeguard Business Systems, where she worked in the customer service department for many years before her retirement. She loved to travel and visited over 90 countries on all seven continents and circumnavigated the world seven times. She will be remembered for her kindness to others and her quick smile and resilient attitude which remained into her final days. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
