Obituary of Frank D. Marinaccio

Frank D. Marinaccio, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Rose Petruzzo Marinaccio, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Harrison, NY on July 24, 1929, he was a son of the late Philip and Giovannina Vechiola Marinaccio. A U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he graduated from Warren Harding High School in 1948. Mr. Marinaccio was the owner and operator of Phillip's Shoe Store and later Schneider's Shoe Store, both on Bridgeport's East side. He was a member of the VFW Post #10099 in Trumbull and the Knights of Columbus, Park City Council. Frank loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. In addition to Rose, his wife of 62 years, survivors include a son, Philip V. Marinaccio and his wife Renee of Milford, a daughter, Barbara Pisacreta and her husband Bill of Newtown, four grandchildren, Philip A. Marinaccio, Jenna Rose Ligouri and her husband Antonio, Joseph Frank Pisacreta and Gina Marie Pisacreta, a brother, Leonard Marinaccio and his wife Loretta of West Haven, a sister, Lucille DePeano and her husband Albert of Trumbull and sister-in-law, Emma DeEsso of Larchmont, NY as well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane and Herbert Walker and Antoinette and Joseph Capalbo. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
