Obituary of Gertrude M. Sierer

Gertrude Beutel Sierer, age 89, of Bridgeport, a retired receptionist for Paine Webber, died on Monday, September 1, 2014 with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on March 19, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Walter A. and Elsa Barth Beutel. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilmer R. Sierer, a brother, Werner H. Beutel and her longtime companion, Bradford Martin Sr. Mrs. Sierer was a past president of the Boys and Girls Club of North End Bridgeport, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, North End Little League and enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and traveling. Survivors include her two sons, Walter N. Sierer and his wife Donna of Bridgeport and Ronald A. Sierer and his wife Carolyn of Trumbull, a sister, Margot Ramos of Orange, six grandchildren, Christopher Sierer(Christie) of Stratford, Pamela DiGirolamo(Robert) of Trumbull, Aubrey Sierer of Bridgeport, Carly Nicolia (Joseph) of Trumbull, Christina Moura (Mark) of Trumbull and Kurt Sierer of Trumbull, nine great grandchildren, Brittney, Lindsey and Stephanie Sierer, Ashley and Anthony DiGirolamo, Ava and Joseph Nicolia and Christian and Anthony Moura, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may greet the family on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
