Vincent Tiberi, Jr., age 80, of Shelton, beloved husband of Dolores Barletto Tiberi, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Introdacqua, Province of L'Aquila, Italy on July 22, 1934, he was a son of the late Vincent and Louise DeAngelis Tiberi. He came to the U.S. in 1947 aboard the Marine Shark. Mr. Tiberi had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service, where he worked as a mail carrier, before his retirement with 15 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mother Cabrini Council. Vincent loved his garden and took great pride in tending to it, but his greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his two sons, Vincent J. Tiberi and Richard Tiberi and his brother-in-law, Domenick Trombetta. In addition to his beloved wife of 60 years, Dolores, survivors include his daughter-in-law, Linda Tiberi of Shelton, a grandson, John Vincent Tiberi, a brother, Elio Tiberi and his wife Antoinette of Bridgeport, a sister, Laura Tiberi Trombetta of Monroe, a sister-in-law, Marie Viglione of Shelton and a nephew, James Fedak, Jr. and his wife Janette, founder and president of the Masters Table Community Meals, as well as several additional nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St Patrick’s Church, Bridgeport.
