Obituary of Courtney S. Mason

Courtney S. Mason, age 68, beloved wife of Charles J. Mason Sr., passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Griffin Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on September 9, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Clarence T. Hill and Florence Costa Sarnick. She formerly worked at Bridgeport Hospital and at Dresser Industries in Newtown. Nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her family and taking an active role in raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Charles of 38 years, survivors include four children, Tammie Brown of Texas, Ronald Mason of Shelton, Charles Mason Jr. of Shelton and Amy Kleiner and her husband Jason of Florida, a brother, Clarence T. Hill of Florida, her seven grandchildren, Leah, J. J., Ava, Janice, Jerry, Kelly and Benjamin, her great grandchildren, Laura, Matthew and three additional great grandchildren and her dear friend Kathy Mason. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Laura Hill, a brother, Kenny Sarnick and a sister, Gay Cormier. Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
