Dear Wolson Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Brian's passing. Brian and I were in the same training squadron for 15 months in San Diego before assignment to separate fleet squadrons. I have fond memories of Brian and I buying mountain bikes together and going on many great rides throughout San Diego. We once rented a car and drove almost to the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. Brian was a fun guy. Brian was also a very virtuous guy, full of humility, kindness, optimism and generosity. I'm sure Brian shared those virtues with you on a daily basis and passed them on to his children. You and Brian are in my prayers. May God welcome him home and comfort you in your loss.
Sincerely,
T.J. Sypniewski

Annette, Isabella & Liam,
My sincerest condolences on the loss of your husband and father.
Brian (Surf to me) and I served in VF-211 and were crewed for almost a year. He was my friend, RIO, and the best Captain Checkmate there ever was. We had not spoken in over 15 years but I remember Surf's upbeat can-do attitude, his infectious smile and of course his outstanding skill in the back seat of a Tomcat. He was a great friend and shipmate and my prayers go out to you and the rest of your family on his untimely loss.
I lost my wife Roseann to breast cancer in 2013 after a 12 year battle so I know what you have gone through and how hard Brian fought the dreaded "C". He is now at rest with our Lord and finally at peace.
Again, my prayers and sympathy are with you during this trying time.

Dearest Annette, Isabella and Liam, as well all of Brians family,
My deepest condolences to you. It was such an honor to know and work with Brian. He was one hell of a guy! You should all be so proud of him, his humor, his career, his dignity and mentorship of so many here at Yale.
Be so very proud that he served for the U.S. Navy. He contributed to the one thing that everyone in American enjoys, and that is our freedom. It's the greatest gift of all. Take great joy and find peace in this.
He has also left an amazing legacy in everyone he touched, and in Isabella and Liam. This is more than so many people can accomplish in a lifetime.
God Bless You. Sincerely,
Adriene Nazaretian Radcliffe

My deepest condolences to you and your family. At a time when words can be hard to come by, many come to mind when I think of the positive impact Brian had on those that worked for and with him at Yale. Brian carried himself with dignity and led by example. A person to emulate. At the same time he was a great friend with a fantastic sense of humor. I feel privileged to have known him.

Wolson Family,
Words cannot describe how sorry I am to hear of the passing of Brian. It has been so long since I have seen or communicated with you but memories of childhood playing with Ellen and having Brian and friends 'nicely' torment us will stay with me forever. I am grateful to have known Brian and although it has been awhile since we laughed together, those times will never be forgotten. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.
I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Annette,
Words fail us all at times like this, especially when the loss is so great. I will always feel fortunate that I got to know Brian and call him 'friend', and through him got to meet you, Isabella and Liam and his parents. Brian always carried himself with purpose, dignity, humility and class - with a great sense of humor thrown in for good measure. Unfortunately, these are qualities that apply to far to few people these days. But these are qualities we can all remember him by, and aspire to live up to every day in his memory, and for the betterment of all of us.
As they have been, our prayers will continue to be with you and your family. We're a phone call away if you need anything. Don't hesitate.
Peace,
Ed

Annette,
I am sorry for your loss, I want to let you know that you are not alone
I have know Brian for 34 years. We met as Freshmen in HS and to this day he is one of the greatest people I have ever known. His outlook on life as an adventure to take part of has always been what made him great to be around. Although he did lose me at pole vaulting. Challenges were opportunities for Brian and he took every one head on. He was never satisfied with what was, with Brian it was what can we make it.
He stuck by his friends through the good and the bad. He had a tremendous sense of right and wrong and always looked out for our small bad of friends. Looking back on those years he was what is today commonly referred to as indomitable. I will keep his spirit and friendship with me forever. From my talks with Brian I know that you and Isabella have that same sense of purpose and view of life as adventure.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless you all.

Dear Annette and the entire Wolson Family,
There are no real words to express my deepest sympathies for your loss. I can only say that Brian has been a great colleague and someone that was so well respected for his integrity, work ethic, collaboration and mentorship. After beginning at Yale, I learned very quickly that Brian was someone I could trust, not just to get things done but to speak to when times were tough. During his courageous battle my admiration for him grew, as I saw a man who stood tall and fought hard. The Brian I will always know is a great man.
He will be greatly missed. You are all in my prayers and I wish you all great peace.
Sincerely,
Len

During the week long cruise, I met Brian and his father Ray. Ray and I were privileged to see what incredible young men were serving our country.. It has been a blessing to have met you and our thoughts and prayers extend to your family.
