Obituary of William Jordan

William Jordan, age 89, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Florence Kupec Jordan, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2014 at CT Hospice, Branford. Born in Derby on November 16, 1924, he was a son of the late Wilhem and Doris Selewa Jordan. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, William served in the South Pacific. He was a retired quality control inspector for the Farrell Co., with 42 years of dedicated service. Mr. Jordan was one of the founding members of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull and was also an usher for many years. He was a member of the Tashua Knolls Senior Men's Club of Trumbull and was active with the Farrell Old Timers Club. But above all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who cherished his time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed. Survivors include two loving children, William J. Jordan and his wife Mary Beth of West Simsbury and Barbara Jordan Doheny and her husband Marc of Trumbull, four cherished grandchildren, Catherine Doheny, Peter, Nicholas and Kevin Jordan, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Steven Jordan and two sisters, Anne Tottenham and Mary Elko. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
