Obituary of Josephine R. Sedlak

Josephine R. Sedlak, age 88, beloved wife of the late Julius S. Sedlak, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Genesis Health Care Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where she had lived for the past five years. Born in Bridgeport on March 13, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Assunta (Santamaria) Timpanelli. Before her retirement, Jo was a switchboard operator/receptionist at the former Bridgeport Metal Goods Manufacturing Company. Survivors include her three loving children, Carol Most and her husband Charles of Murrells Inlet, SC, Kevin Sedlak and his wife Evelyn of Boca Raton, FL, Leslie Barrow and her husband Richard of Plainfield, NH, a sister, Helen Albarelli and her husband Ray of Bridgeport, CT, five grandchildren, Wesley Most and his wife Meghan of Seattle, WA, Drew Most of East Haven, CT, Jeffrey Sedlak of Hudson, FL, Scott Sedlak of Orlando, FL, Nicole Barrow and her fiancé Matthew Turner of Enfield, NH, and three great-grandchildren, Colton Sedlak of Port Richey, FL, Alice and Wilson Most, both of Seattle, WA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jo was predeceased by three sisters, Carmella (Connie) Petrosino and husband Philip, Viola Posh and husband John, Rose Mangone and husband Dominic, and a brother, Anthony Timpanelli and wife Sophie. Friends can greet the family on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Graveside Service will be held directly in the Chapel Mausoleum of Mountain Grove Cemetery, (follow sign #1), 2675 North Ave., Bridgeport on Tuesday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Connecticut Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Fund at 864 Wethersfield Avenue, Hartford, CT 06114-3184.
