Obituary of Lawrence O. Lemieux

Lawrence O. Lemieux, age 95, of Shelton, beloved husband of Frances Perille Lemieux, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 25, 1918 in Taunton, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Ovila and Ernestine Duchette Lemieux, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. A graduate of Harding High School, Lawrence was a retired pumper engineer for the City of Bridgeport Fire Department with 25 years of service. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be sadly missed by all. In addition to Frances, his beloved wife of 70 years, survivors include two loving children, Lawrence P. Lemieux and his wife Laura of Monroe and Elaine Ulatowski and her husband John of Shelton, a sister, Madeline Reed of Stratford, six grandchildren, Heather Norko and her husband John, Jonathan Ulatowski, Cara Lemieux, Adriane Garvin and her husband T.J., Mallory Lemieux and Jaclyn Lemieux, six great grandchildren, Francesca, Gabrielle, Tre, Reagan, Quinn and Ellie as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Maui. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you have a Mass said in his memory.
