Obituary of Sue T. Montanaro

Sue Baldino Montanaro, age 94, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Montanaro, Sr., passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Bridgeport on September 21, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Prospero and Bridget Baldino. Mrs. Montanaro was a longtime member of the St. Theresa Guild at Holy Rosary Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had resided with her son and daughter-in-law for 39 years. Survivors include her loving son, Joseph Montanaro, Jr. and his wife, Annette of Trumbull, daughter-in-law, Marge Montanaro of Stratford, seven grandchildren, Joseph Montanaro III and his wife Shelly, Nicholas Montanaro and his wife Patricia, Karen Fowler and her husband Bryan, Michael Montanaro and Kelly Dixon, Debra Donovan and her husband John, Deanna Grant and her husband Jason, Daniel Montanaro and his wife Jen, 15 great grandchildren, Jason Grant, Michael Fowler, Amanda Fowler, Molly Donovan, Johnny Donovan, Gianna Montanaro, Amanda Grant, Alexis Grant, Dante Montanaro, Alexandra Montanaro, Mea Grant, Giancarlo Montanaro, Samuel Donovan, Drew Kaufman and Madison Montanaro and a great great granddaughter, Skyler. Mrs. Montanaro is also survived by her dedicated niece and caregiver, Kathy Flood as well as several additional nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Nicholas Montanaro and several brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Avenue, Trumbull on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daughters of Charity Rescue Mission, 1490 North Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06604.
