Obituary of Cecelia Farino

Resident of Bridgeport Cecelia Cesero Farino, age 95, entered the comforting arms of the Lord for eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. She was one of 13 children born in Bridgeport to Angelo and Giovanna DAgostino Cesero. Cecelia was married for 62 years to her husband Frank, before his death in 1998. She was his devoted, patient and loving primary caregiver during his long illness. Before her retirement, she worked for many years in retail at Shoppers Fair and Caldors. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Frances Riccio and her husband Mario of Trumbull, her loving grandsons, Mark Riccio and Christopher Riccio and his wife Mary, who became a loving granddaughter to her, a brother Louis Cesero and his wife Rose, several nieces and nephews, and special niece Patricia Johnson of Texas. Cecelia was pre-deceased by her brothers, Patrick, William, Anthony, Angelo, Carmine and James Cesero and sisters, Catherine Crudele, Mary Florentino and Sarah Naples as well as a brother Joseph and a sister Catarina Cesero, both of whom died in infancy. She loved all of them dearly, missed them deeply and prayed for them daily. She was always grateful for the companionship of her friends that she grew up with in the North End of Bridgeport and the dear friends she met over the years at the Trumbull Shopping Park Food Court who became her second family and were such a big part of her life during her later years. Cecelia was a gentle woman who will be forever missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched with her faith, thoughtfulness and love. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Maefair Health Care Center of their compassion and loving care show to Cecelia during her two year stay. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
