Obituary of Felice Avakian

Resident of Trumbull Felice Boudakian Avakian, age 100, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St. Josephs Manor. She was a member of the Holy Ascension Armenian Church, the Armenian Relief Society and a 25 year member of the American Red Cross working on the blood drives. With her departure our 80 year old Armenian Church community loses one of her most respected and much loved matriarchs who was born in Izmir, Turkey, was a survivor of the 1915 Armenian Genocide and who has lived in our Trumbull community since 1946. May God give rest to her soul. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Sonia Trapasso, son-in-law, Ralph Trapasso, grandchildren, Douglas Trapasso, Beatrice and her husband Charles Dermer and great grandchildren, Mikel and Sonia Dermer. Funeral Information Viewing will take place on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, 1460 Huntington Turnpike, Trumbull. A Wake Service will take place on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, with Rev. Father Untzag Nalbandian officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
