Obituary of Donald Faffley

Professional Trumpet Player Donald Faffley, age 80, of Trumbull, a professional musician and teacher, died on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Born and raised in Port Chester, NY, he was a son of the late William and Grace Gunther Faffley and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Don had formerly resided in Greenwich and Stamford before recently moving to Trumbull. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians local 802 where he was a professional trumpet player and teacher for many years and had toured with the Bob Hope Show, Tommy Dorsey and Doc Severinsen Bands. He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine McNaughton Faffley and his brother, William Faffley. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Bogen and her husband, David of Trumbull, two grandchildren, Joanne and Sarah, his sister in law, Mary Faffley of White Plains, NY, two nephews, Gene and Bill Faffley and his cousin, Dot Holly. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 8:45 A.M. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. Friends may greet the family on Friday 4 -8 P.M. A prayer service will be conducted Friday at 7:30 P.M. in the funeral home.
