Obituary of John A. Ettorre

Loving Husband and Devoted Father John A. Ettorre, age 58, of Huntington, loving husband of Josephine Pullo Ettorre, died peacefully on Saturday September 4, 2010 in his home with his loving wife and cherished daughters by his side, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Born in Bridgeport on February 5 1952, he was a son of Thomas Sr. and Carmela Ringarry Ettorre of Stratford. John was a loving husband and devoted father who cared very deeply for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his devoted wife of 33 years, Josephine, and his parents, survivors include two loved and cherished daughters, JoAnne and Kristina Ettorre of Shelton, three brothers, Thomas Ettorre Jr. of Bridgeport, Michael Ettorre of Stratford and Edward Ettorre of Texas, three sisters, Marion Scinto and her husband Anthony of Stratford, Antoinette Bicocchi and her husband Ivan of Stratford and Anna Bortnick of Trumbull, a godson, Michael Bortnick, mother-in-law, Jenny Pullo of Trumbull, and an uncle, Michael Zangrilli, brothers-in-law, Daniel Pullo of Monroe and Alfredo Pullo Jr. and his wife Ida of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to his caregivers Anna, Jenny, Mike, Antoinette and her husband the slacker who spent many hours with John. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday September 10, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
