Obituary of John L. Esposito

Trumbull Resident John Louis Esposito, age 79, of Trumbull, known by many as Lefty, entered eternal life Saturday, December 5, 2009, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Bridgeport on July 30, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Theresa Piciante Esposito. John attended Stratford High School and was self-employed as an antenna installer before his retirement. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Dolores P. Esposito, who passed away on December 5, 2004, and five sisters, Theresa DiPasquale, Laura Mahmood, Virginia Tartaglia, Josephine Misurale and Rose Esposito. Survivors include a brother, Louis Esposito and his wife Conni, of Orange; a sister, Ann Libudziewski of Florida; many nieces and nephews, including Mark Esposito of Trumbull, whom he and Dolores helped raise; and Carmella (Connie) Cassidy and her husband Gene, of Easton; many great nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Anita Lupariello of Bridgeport. John was an ardent football fan, his favorite team being the Patriots, and enjoyed watching the games on television. He had a great love for all animals, and during his forty-year marriage to Dolores they cared for numerous cats and three poodles who meant the world to them. John was also a big Sinatra fan. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace and be free of suffering now that he is reunited with Dolores, the love of his life. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday December 11, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
