Obituary of Mario K. Erzen

Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son & Brother Mario K. Erzen age 50, of Stratford, beloved husband of Darlene Bouchard Erzen, died suddenly on Thursday February 4, 2010 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 27, 1959, he was a son of Anna Vacchiana Erzen of Trumbull and the late Vinko Erzen. Mario was a senior electrician for Northrop Grumman Norden Systems and was formerly employed by Liberty Auto & Electric as well as Murphy Sign Inc. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and time spent with his friends in Vermont. Mario enjoyed spending time with his many dear friends, but his true love was his time spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all. In addition to his beloved wife of 26 years and his mother, survivors include his four loving children, Dena Erzen of Bridgeport, Christina Erzen of Stratford, Mario M. Erzen of Bridgeport and Nicholas Erzen of Stratford, two cherished grandchildren, Jayden and Ava, a brother Steve Erzen and his wife Vexsaida of FL, three sisters, Millie Rizio and her husband Ralph, Carmen Serrano and her husband Fred all of Trumbull and Maria Oliveira and her husband James of Naugatuck, a godson, currently serving active duty for the U.S. Navy, Antonio Rizio, as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his mother-in-law Patricia Bouchard Ligouri, sisters and brother -in-law, Annette, Yvette and Michelle Bouchard and Debbie Kelly and her husband John; Mario filled the void in Michelle and Yvette's lives in youth in the absence of their father, his special friend Vincenza Dailey, lifelong friends Chris Arsenault and Dino Tetu as well as many additional friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Paul Bouchard. Funeral Information *DUE TO SNOW STORM* The Funeral Services will now take place on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4-8p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
