Obituary of John A. Eannotti

Resident of Bridgeport John A. Eannotti, 84, of Bridgeport, husband of the late Valentine Martinek Eannotti, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 in St. Vincents Medical Center in Bridgeport with his daughters and sons-in-law by his side. Born in Bridgeport on April 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Nuccio Iannotti. John was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft where he belonged to the Teamsters Union. As a U.S. Navy veteran, John served during World War II. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 145, East Main St. Bridgeport. John is survived by his devoted daughters, Susan Trabka and her husband Allen Trabka of Oxford and Janis Mitchell and her husband Dr. Alfred Mitchell of New Milford; three granddaughters, Ashley Trabka and Jessica and Amanda Mitchell; three brothers and sisters, Theresa Wysocki, Fred Iannotti and Yolanda Slachtosky; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley, Lawrence, Patrick, Joseph and Frank Eannotti and Michael and Vincent Iannotti and sisters, Mary Pawlak and Diana Fontana. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the surgical ICU staff at St. Vincents Medical Center. Funeral Information Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
