Obituary of Rose Dunne

Rose Mary Dunne, age 81, wife of John Dunne of Trumbull, died Friday January 5 at Bridgeport Hospital. A daughter of Jacob and Perouz Kazarian, she was born on August 27, 1925 in Providence, RI. Her family moved to New York City, where she sang on the radio as Little Rosie Kazarian. She attended Columbia University in their first co-ed class. Rose was a manager at Singer Baby Clothings New York City factory. After John's graduation from Michigan State University, she relocated to the Detroit, suburbs, where they began their family. The Dunnes relocated to Manchester in 1969. In 2005, Rose and John relocated to Trumbull to be closer to their grandchildren.

Rose was predeceased by her sisters Victoria and Emily, and her brother Charles.

She is survived by her loving husband John, her son Jack Dunne of Holiday, FL, her daughter Perrie Dunne and her husband Mike Blumenstock, and grandsons Michael and Matthew of Weston.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 10 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
