Obituary of Elizabeth A. Duffy

Elizabeth (Liz) Ragonese Duffy, age 60, of Trumbull, a retired librarian for the New York City Board of Education with 25 years of service, died on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Greenwich Hospital. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the beach, reading, playing Bridge and crossword puzzles. She will always be remembered by her bright and beautiful smile. Born in Bridgeport on March 29, 1950, she was a daughter of Frank L. Ragonese of Trumbull and the late Carmella Granata Ragonese. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Donald A. Duffy Jr. and her stepmother Nancy Cusello Ragonese. She leaves behind one daughter, Danielle Duffy Valenzano and her husband Robert of Milford. In addition to her father and daughter, survivors include five siblings, Louis F. Ragonese and his wife Barbara Burlingame of Vienna, VA, Joseph J. Ragonese and his wife Joan McLaughlin of Washington, D.C., Maria T. Ragonese of Trumbull, Joyce R. Volterra and her husband Dr. Fabio Volterra of Greenwich and Thomas Ragonese and his wife Cheryl of Trumbull, nieces and nephews, Kayla, Andrew, Matthew, Kevin, Dylan and Catherine Ragonese and Adriana, Giulia and Dario Volterra. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
