Obituary of Theresa Drosdik

Theresa Macaluso Drosdik, age 83, died Saturday, June 25, 2005 in West River Health Care, Milford. Born and raised in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Marianna Alfano Macaluso. Married on August 6, 1945, she was the wife of the late George Drosdik. She was a resident of Stratford for 15 years, lived in Bridgeport for 55 years and five years in Hollywood, Florida.. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent's Hospital and Bridgeport Community Health Center. She was an active member of the Bridgeport Republican Party for 30 years, and member of the Town Committee, secretary and president of the East Bridgeport Republican Club which introduced the Jai-Alai Fronton in the Bridgeport area, and also was a candidate for the Alderman in District 136. She was also secretary of the Bridgeport Republican Womens Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Christine Hopkins and son-in-law, Christopher of Candor, New York, a brother, Joseph Macaluso and a sister, Marion Sherburne, both of Hollywood, FL, her four adorable grandsons, Daniel, David, Joshua and Jonathan, whom she loved dearly, and several nieces and nephews and relatives in Pennsylvania and New York. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by three brothers, Domenic, Charles (Carlo) and Anthony Macaluso and a sister, Jean Renno. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
