Obituary of John P. Donnangolo

Resident of Trumbull John P. Donnangolo, age 88, of Trumbull, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in St. Vincent Medical Center. The son of the late John and Mary DAgostino Donnangelo, he was born on September 13, 1922 in Italy and raised in Minersville, PA. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, John settled in Bridgeport after the war and was a retired employee of Avco Lycoming. He was a member and past officer of the Trinacria M. A. Society, Boy Scouts of America, Knights of Columbus and was an usher at St. Charles Church for many years. He was pre-deceased by his wife Carmelina (Millie) DiMartino Donnangolo. Survivors include a son, John R. Donnangolo of Prospect, a grandson Nicholas, sisters-in-law, Antoinette DiMartino of Trumbull and Rose DiMartino of Westport as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Charles Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
