Obituary of Stephen Dolyak

Stratford Resident Stephen Dolyak, age 87, of Stratford, died on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at his home. He was born on April 18, 1918 in Bridgeport, son of the late Nicholas Dolyak and Anna Stritch Dolyak. Mr. Dolyak was an active member of the Pyramid Shriners, St. Johns #8 Masonic Lodge and the Lafayette Consistory. Steve was an avid deer hunter and golfer. He was pre-deceased in death by his wife, Agnes Virginia McCarvel Dolyak and his son, Douglas Stephen Dolyak. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Socks and her husband, Hugh of Hilton Head, SC and Virginia Russ and her husband, Michael of Cape May Court House, NJ, three grandchildren, Rebecca, Zachary and Sara Russ, a sister, Ann Kaplan of Stratford, a brother, Andrew Dolyak of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 4-8 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull.
