Obituary of Vincent Paul Diorio

Loving Father & Grandfather Vincent P. Diorio, age 80, of Shelton, died peacefully at Griffin Hospital on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on July 13, 1929, he was the son of the late Antonio and Josephine Rizzuto Diorio and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Italia Fonzone Diorio and two brothers-in-law, Carl Sannino and Frank Chiodi. Survivors include his two loving daughters, Joanna Diorio of Shelton and Patricia Schulte and her husband Gary of Milford, four cherished grandchildren, Victoria OMeara and Vincent, Gary Jr. and Lia Schulte, two sisters, Elizabeth Sannino of Monroe and Antoinette Schilkowski of Milford, a sister-in-law, Rosa Chiodi of Bridgeport, as well as two nephews, Philip Chiodi and Anthony Morris. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
