Obituary of Elizabeth DiLorenzo

Resident of Monroe Elizabeth Grandma Betty DiLorenzo, age 95, of Monroe, died on Monday, October 29, 2007 with her loving family by her side in Ashlar of Newtown. Born in Tarrytown, NY on January 8, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppi and Giovannina Buonofato Biazzo. She was pre-deceased by husbands, James Giumarra and Joseph DiLorenzo and a son, Emanuel Giumarra. She was the former owner and operator for many years of the Lake Forest Market in Bridgeport. Known as Grandma Betty, she touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all. Survivors include her daughter Joan Russo and her husband Frederick of Monroe, daughter-in-law, Diane Fritz of Spokane, WA, five grandchildren, Monte Russo, Marci Harrington, Stanley Cornell, Jami Grosnik and Jill Williams as well as eight great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Friday morning from 9:15 a.m. until the time of service.
