Obituary of Francesca DiCosmo

Francesca Pullo DiCosmo, age 100, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Annunziato DiCosmo, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Born on August 30, 1911 in Ripi, Provence of Frosinone, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Domenico Pullo and Philomena Cortina Pullo. Francesca is survived by two devoted daughters, Mary Capodagli of Bridgeport and Lena Tenney and her husband Alan of Easton, five adoring grandchildren, Cynthia Capodagli of Monroe, Anthony Capodagli Jr. and his wife Michelle of Monroe, Nancy Bothos and her husband Alexander of Trumbull, Amy Hauptman and her husband Bryan of Easton and Jason Tenney of New York City, six cherished great grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph Capodagli, Nicholas and Michael Bothos and Benjamin and Maxwell Hauptman; a sister, Adelina Pullo and her husband Antonio of Italy, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Anthony Capodagli, five brothers, Angelo, Antonio, Sante, Giuseppe and Luca Pullo and one sister, Palma Pullo. Francesca worked in textiles most of her life, particularly at The Barn in Bridgeport. An incredible woman of faith, she blessed her family and friends with her endless love, energy, strength, contagious laughter and enthusiasm for life. She will long be remembered for her love of the home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting and even wrestling. She will truly be missed. Francesca was so appreciative of all the love and care given her by family, friends and caregivers. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford.
