Obituary of Alice M. DiBecelle
Alice M. DiBecelle, age 73, of Shelton, beloved wife of 37 years of Raymond DiBecelle, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 9, 2011 at Griffin Hospital, with her husband by her side. Born in Olyphant, PA on February 10, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Florence Ball Ries. She worked as a secretary for Student Counselors at Bullard Havens for 16 years before her retirement. Alice was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Shelton, where she sang in the choir and was very active with the senior group. She loved the challenges of completing crossword puzzles and puzzles in general. She loved music and earlier in life taught Sunday School in Pennsylvania.
In addition to her husband, survivors include four children, Mark and Bobby Stemphowski, Donna Travis and her husband Scott and Debbie Stemphowski, a stepson, Dean DiBecelle, two grandchildren, Mark and Amy Stemphowski, two sisters Elsie Lolly and her husband Jim of NY and Shirley Damoro of NJ. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to meet directly in First Baptist Church, 178 Leavenworth Rd., Shelton on Monday at 11:00 a.m. for Funeral Services. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call at the church prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
