Obituary of Salma B. Dib

Salma Baik Dib, age 88, of Trumbull, died peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Born in Soueidie, Syria on March 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Farida Rifka Baik. Salma was a lifelong and dedicated member of the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, Bridgeport and a member of the Ladies Auxillary. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was dedicated to the love and care of her family. She will be deeply missed. She was predeceased by a son Nabil Dib, four brothers, Sam and William Baik, Badih Bek and Farid Baik and two sisters, Jeanette Mityas and Badia Zakhour. Survivors include a loving and dedicated son, Dr. Donald Dib and daughter-in-law, Debbie of Trumbull, a cherished granddaughter, Jessica Dib, a sister, Loraine Baik Zabaneh and her husband Raja of Trumbull, sister-in-law, Mary Baik of Bridgeport as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Ave., Bridgeport on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for funeral services. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
