Obituary of James R. Di Viesta

Trumbull Resident James R. Di Viesta, Sr., age 89, of Trumbull, a retired parts manager for the former Fruitridge Cadillac, died on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on September 22, 1921, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Mary Di Viesta and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a devoted parishioner of Christ the King Church in Trumbull attending mass daily. Mr. Di Viesta was a member of the St. Vincents Heart Club and AARP Clubs #957 and 831. Survivors include his beloved wife, Jean Renzi Di Viesta, two children, James R. Di Viesta Jr. and his wife Lisa, Beverly Cave and her husband Warren, all of Cape Coral, FL, a daughter- in- law, Nicola Di Viesta of North Haven, a brother, Frank Di Viesta, a sister, Virginia Keenan, both of Florida, five grandchildren, Joshua Di Viesta, Justin Cave, Gregory Cave, Jillian Di Viesta and Brittany Cave. He was pre-deceased by his son Kevin Di Viesta and a brother Richard Di Viesta. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-5 pm.
