Obituary of Harry Greenberger

Harry Greenberger, age 90, of Bridgeport, a retired tool and die maker for Casco Products, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, New York on December 20, 1918, he was a son of the late Jacob and Rose Braun Greenberger and was a World War II Navy Veteran.

An avid golfer, Mr. Greenberger was the former president of Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course. He was a lifelong city resident and a devoted family man.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Louise Agosti Greenberger, two sisters Gertrude Parker and Shirley Mainero and a brother William.

Survivors include a daughter Nancy Young of Trumbull, two granddaughters Sherrie Weller and her husband Norman of Trumbull and Richele Jansen and her husband Wayne of Orange, a brother Julius Greenberger and his wife Selma of Stratford. He was the great grandfather to Devin and his wife Trish Weller of Springfield, VA, Brianna and Kaylin Weller and Corina Jansen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Gathering celebrating his life will take place on Monday, March 9, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
