Obituary of Raymond M. DeLuca

Raymond Michael DeLuca, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, died on Monday July 30, 2007 at St. Joseph's Manor. Mr. DeLuca was born on November 12, 1912 to the late Crezenzo and Donata DeLuca.

He was a retired machinist for Dresser Industries and a volunteer at the Salvation Army Food Service for Seniors in Bridgeport. He was an avid golfer, playing at many golf courses in the area and had a love of music which he expressed as a member of the Milford Senior Band, where he played the trumpet. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Rose Camarro DeLuca.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His great grandchildren put a sparkle in his eyes. 

He is survived by his loving daughter, Barbara DeLuca Georgette and her husband, George of Stratford and his loving son, Raymond Michael DeLuca, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Madison, four grandchildren, Cynthia Georgette Terribile and her husband, Vincent of Chester, NY, JoMarie Georgette DeGioia and her husband, Jay of Harrisburg, VA, Raymond Michael DeLuca, III and Mark Samuel DeLuca, both of Madison; four great grandchildren, Julianne and Jamie DeGioia and Jenna and Nicole Terribile. He is also survived by four sisters, Florence Petrosino of Trumbull, Josephine Charity of California, Anita Beltram of New York and Jean DeLucia of Ohio.

He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Michael, Peter, Patsy and Frank DeLuca and four sisters, Edith Mariano and Molly Jacksis, Gladys DeLuca and Fay Dragonette.

The family would like to thank all of the hard working, dedicated nurses aides on the 3rd floor, D wing at St. Josephs Manor, who cared so compassionately for him. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
