Obituary of Anthony L. DeLibro

Founder of Airway Motors Anthony L. DeLibro, age 93, of Shelton, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2006 in his home surrounded by his family. Mr. DeLibro was born in Bridgeport on September 27, 1912. He was the son of the late Vincenco (James) and Carrie Verderame DeLibro and spent most of his life growing up in Bridgeport. Mr. DeLibro is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Betty who was always by his side, his son, Robert and his wife, Clare of Easton, his two daughters, Rita Regina and her husband, Larry of Trumbull and Elizabeth Kelly of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, two brothers, George of Florida, Fredrick of Shelton, two sisters, Alice Squibb of Stratford and Josephine Safko of Florida, two grandsons, Todd and Robert Kelley along with several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a grandson, Scott Anthony Kelley. Mr. DeLibro was the founder of Airway Motors, one of the first used car dealerships in Connecticut and enjoyed working with his son until the age of 93. Airway Motors is still today owned and operated by his son, Robert. Mr. DeLibro can most be remembered for his kindness, generosity and devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and a countless number of friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
