Obituary of Eugene Robert DelGuidice

Devoted Father Eugene Robert DelGuidice, age 60, of Bridgeport, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late Thomas and Jeanne Stetz DelGuidice and was currently a manager with the Salvation Army. He was a graduate from Sacred Heart University on a baseball and basketball scholarship and was an All New England shortstop. Gene was an avid NY Yankee and Giant fan and enjoyed taking trips with his children to sporting events and Arthur Avenue in New York. He also cherished the times he spent coaching Jeffrey and Randi in soccer, basketball and baseball over the years. Survivors include, his two loving children Randi Kubick and her husband Tyson of Trumbull and Jeffrey DelGuidice and his fiance Danielle Allen of Milford, their mother and his dear friend Linda DelGuidice of Trumbull, seven brothers and sisters, Thomas DelGuidice and his wife Madeline, Chris DelGuidice and his wife Monique, Frances Saverino, Diane Meszaros and her husband Ron, Dolores Trakimowicz and her husband Tracy, Patricia DelGuidice, Janet Murphy and her husband Dennis, a sister in law, Maureen DelGuidice as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Edward DelGuidice. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m.
