Obituary of Ronald J. DelBianco

Bridgeport Resident Ronald J. DelBianco, age 73, of Bridgeport, a retired Lt. of the Bridgeport Fire Dept., died on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Northbridge Health Care Center. Born on February 14, 1933 he was a son of the late Attilio and Mary Pierelli DelBianco. Mr. DelBianco was a former supervisor of the Recreation Dept. for the city of Bridgeport, and also officiated many athletic contests for over 30 years. A former resident of Fairfield and Trumbull, Ron loved sports and participated in them throughout his youth. A U.S. Army veteran Ron was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1951. He was predeceased by a brother Fred DelBianco and his brother in law Michael Corraro. Survivors include his three sons; Ronald DelBianco, Jr., of Florida, Nelson DelBianco and his wife Patricia, of Pagasa Springs, CO, George DelBianco and his wife Roberta, of San Antonio TX, a sister, Elsie Corraro of Huntington, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and dear friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Northbridge Health Care for all of their care and compassion during their time of need. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Rd., Shelton, on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. At the request of the family there will be no calling hours.
