Obituary of Anna Capozzi DeFelice

Anna (Capozzi) DeFelice, age 97, of Shelton, the beloved wife of the late Joseph DeFelice and Fred Capozzi, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Lord Chamberlain Center in Stratford. She was born on May 24, 1916 in New Haven and was the daughter of Rose and Pasquale Daston. She loved making her cavatelli from her special recipe and teaching her granddaughters this lost art. She totally enjoyed cooking and sharing her talents with all and was known best for her meatballs and gravy. She loved to recite her poem (Somebodys Mother) which she learned as a child and had the quick recall to recite it to this day. As the family was growing, there was always room for extra people to join us at dinner, especially on holidays. All of her childrens friends were welcome and she always encouraged this tradition. She loved to travel when she was able. She is survived by her daughter, Joycelyn (Joy) Koch and husband John and her son, Louis Capozzi. She was the grandmother of John Koch III and wife Kimberly, Susan Sherman and husband Howard, Jillaine Rogers and husband Richard who she was especially grateful to for the loving care they provided until her passing, Robert Koch and wife Christine, Louis Capozzi and wife Daniella and Melissa Casey and husband Jerry; cherished great grandmother of Jamie Pronovost and husband Chris, John Koch IV, Richie Rogers (DiDo) for their special love they shared, Daniel, Michael and Amanda Sherman, Robert and Andrew Koch, Riley, Nolan and Keegan Casey, Bianca and Ava Capozzi and several special nieces and nephews.
