Obituary of Louis Paul Antignani

Bridgeport Resident Louis Paul Antignani, age 42, went peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Bridgeport Hosptial while surrounded by his family and loved ones. Louis was the son of Ralph Anthony (Antignani) and the late Nicolina (DeMasi) Antignani. He was born on August 8, 1963 in Bridgeport and was a graduate of Central High School, attended Housatonic Community College and had held various positions in the construction industry. He was a gifted athlete having played baseball in the North End Little League, Central High School and Housatonic Community College. He was also a football player at Central High School and was a power lifter and softball player. Lou was a sports enthusiast who had a passion for boxing and baseball and was a life-long Mets fan. He was dedicated to his faith and was a communicant of St. Patrick Church. His generous loving and adventurous spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his devoted father, he is survived by four sisters, Diana Goldstein and her husband, Gerald of Naugatuck, Nancy Diaz and her fiance Ron Long of Stratford, Joan Mantone and her husband, August of Trumbull and Teresa Antignani of Bridgeport; three brothers, James and John Antignani of Bridgeport and Joseph Antignani and his companion, Irene Radzwillas of Norwalk, five nieces, Jessica, god-daughter Rachel and Sara Goldstein of Naugatuck and Isabella and Savannah Mantone of Trumbull, aunts Nancy English, Teresa Vitello, Rosemary and Mary Antignani, all of Bridgeport and Gloria Antignani of Stratford, uncles, Joseph DeMasi and Anthony Vitello, both of Bridgeport and Serafino (Sal) Antignani of Stratford, many cousins including god-mother, Nancy Beardsworth and god-father, William Cioffi. The family would like to thank all of Louis friends who visited him and made him know how loved and special he was. They would also like to thank the physicians, nurses and caregivers who treated Lou with kindness and respect especially those at Gambro Dialysis Center in Shelton, Bridgeport Hospital, St. Vincents Medical Center, Bridgeport Health Center and Nelson Ambulance. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
