Obituary of James E. D'Ambrosio

James E. DAmbrosio, age 96, of Trumbull, CT, beloved husband of the late Mary DeLorenzo DAmbrosio, died on Sunday, November 23, 2008. A son of the late Biagio and Raffael DAmbrosio, he was born in Cleveland, OH and was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY before moving first to New York City and then to Connecticut two years ago. Mr. DAmbrosio was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Before his retirement, he was a millwright with Kimberly Clark of Niagara Falls, NY for over 25 years. He was an accomplished cabinet maker and a longtime member of the YMCA. James loved all sports, especially football where he played semi-professional football for the Rangers as a young man. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Taberski and her husband Thaddeus of Trumbull, CT; three grandchildren, Ann McCarthy and her husband Paul of Fairfield, CT, Matthew Taberski and his wife Clarisa Gracia of Wynnewood, PA and Daniel Taberski and his partner Jay Herratti of Los Angeles, CA; four great grandchildren, Jack and Daniel McCarthy and Sofia and Eva Taberski, a sister Honey and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by six brothers and sisters; Peter, Joseph, Ernest, Millie, Florence and Clara. Funeral Information
All funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations Information
