Obituary of Joanne D'Agostino

Resident of Trumbull Joanne Catherine Ligouri DAgostino, wife of 49 years to Gregory J. DAgostino, Sr., of Trumbull, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 30, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on December 20, 1937, she was a daughter of Elsie DelVecchio Ligouri of Trumbull and the late Louis P. Ligouri. She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of the School of Education at the University of Bridgeport for over 25 years. She was previously employed at the former Michael DAndreas Religious Store. She was honored this past year as the Woman of the Year by the University of Bridgeport and was an active volunteer for United Cerebral Palsy and Literacy of America. In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include two sons, Gregory Jr. and Stephen and his wife Lisa, granddaughter, Julia and grandson Michael, all of Trumbull, brother, James Ligouri and his wife Jeanette of New Hampshire, sister, Judith Bonner of Bridgeport. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was pre-deceased by a brother-in-law Ed Bonner and a nephew Christopher Bonner. Funeral Information At the request of the family, funeral services were private. A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
