Obituary of Emma M. Cucino

Former Shelton Resident Emma Cucino, age 82, formerly of Shelton, Connecticut, entered into eternal rest at Maefair Healthcare Center in Trumbull on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Beloved mother, grandmother, companion and aunt, Emma was born in Bridgeport as Emma May Crouse and lived her entire life in the area. She retired as the chief switchboard operator from Park City Hospital in 1992. She recently retired from Shaw Supermarkets where she worked as a food demonstrator. Emma was predeceased by her husband, Tony Cuch Cucino; her daughter, Peggy; three sisters: Frances Cook, Alice Dreher and Rose Gal, and a brother, Louis Crouse. She is survived by her companion of 34 years, Mr. John (Pop) Sorrentino, two daughters, Fran Caschetto and her husband Peter of Naugatuck and Roberta Etzkorn and her husband Randy of Greenville, South Carolina; three cherished grandchildren, Kasey, Matthew and Danielle Caschetto of Naugatuck, a brother Charles Crouse and his wife Rosemary of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and 16 favorite nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Visitation on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
