Obituary of Maria Esther Cruz

Maria Esther Rodriguez Cruz, age 76, of Milford died on Sunday, January 2, 2011 in Milford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Damian Cruz. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on September 7, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Teodosio and Rafaela DeJesus Rodgriguez. Mrs. Cruz was an administrative assistant with the Defense Contract Audit Agency before her retirement. She was a longtime Parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Bridgeport and St. Marys Church in Milford.

Survivors include her two daughters, Raquel Y. Cruz of Milford, Elsa D. Sollicito and her husband Michael of Wallingford and four grandchildren, Krystalle N. Ortiz, Damian J Sollicito., Natalia D. Sollicito and Julian M. Sollicito and two brothers, Peter and Federico Rodriguez of Puerto Rico. She was predeceased by a brother Modesto Rodriguez and a sister Nilda Rodriguez. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Marys Church, Milford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Milford Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
