Obituary of Giovanni J. Criscione

Giovanni (John) J. Criscione, age 84, a lifelong Bridgeport resident, died on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on December 7, 1924, he was a son of the late George and Maria Fico Criscione. Mr. Criscione was a former employee of the Bridgeport Housing Authority and also worked in the maintenance department at Bullard Havens Regional Technical School.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two bothers, Santo and James Criscione and a sister, Josephine Garber.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Jean Dwyer Criscione, three children, Ann Marie Jalbert and her husband Peter of Granbury, TX, Joan MacEvitt and her husband James of Denver CO and George Criscione and his wife Denice Green of Milford, two brothers, Joseph Criscione and his wife Betty of Bridgeport and Sam Criscione and his wife May of Bridgeport six cherished grandchildren, Peter and Patrick Jalbert, Brian and Erica Criscione and Megan and Samantha MacEvitt a great grandson, Joseph Jalbert and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Ambrose Church, 1596 Boston Ave., Bridgeport on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 10 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of the St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
