Obituary of John F. Cox

John F. Cox, age 86, of Norwalk, formerly of Huntington, died on Saturday, July 10, 2004 in Norwalk Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on April 15, 1918, he was the son of the late John K. and Nellie Barton Cox. A U. S. Marine Corp veteran of World War II, Mr. Cox was a retired co-owner of J. Cox and Son Auto Body and was a member of the Marine Corp League of Norwalk.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 64 years, Helen Klisenbauer Cox of Norwalk, two beloved children, a son, Robert Cox and his wife Linda of Huntington, a daughter, Diana Marini and her husband Frank of Norwalk, five cherished grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
