Obituary of Florence M. Angelo

Florence M. Ruggiero Angelo, age 80, of Bridgeport, a retired employee for Remington Rand, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on August 10, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Clemente and Rose Cirrillo Ruggiero.

She was an active parishioner of St. Raphael/St. Margaret Parish and a volunteer for the St. Anthony Festival and a member of the Altar Guild. She had also enjoyed walking to reach a Cure for Diabetes.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Dominic J. Angelo, three brothers, Pat, Ralph F. and Dominic Ruggiero and a sister Josephine Giordano.

Survivors include a son, Michael Angelo and his wife Judy of Stratford, two sisters, Mary Mitola of Monroe and Tina Branchesi of Florida, two grandchildren, Jordan Michael and Annaliese Rose and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a reading of the Liturgy of the Word. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
